赤崩林道・五枚沢林道

熱塩加納村から北にのびて山形県飯豊町へ至る林道。
福島県側は五枚沢林道、県境の峠を越えて山形県に入ると赤崩林道となる。
峠はＴ字路となっていて、Ｔ字路から先は葡萄沢林道となる。
五枚沢集落を過ぎるとすぐにダートとなる。
全区間できつい勾配とヘアピンの箇所があるが、全体的にやや荒れた路面ながら、ハイスピードで走ることができる。
直線は短いが、緩やかなコーナーが多い。
麓区間は五枚沢川が脇を流れ、山塊を見上げながら走る。

国道458(十部一峠)

とびとびに未舗装区間のある国道で、寒河江市と新庄市を結ぶ。
生活道路と観光道路なのでとても交通量が多い。
路面はフラットで幅員は広い。
十部一峠には葉山登山道へ至る葉山林道の分岐がある。

県道２２２（板谷峠）

米沢市と福島市を結ぶ一部未舗装区間がのこる県道。福島市側から入ると道順がわかりにくい。
二口林道（二口街道）

山形市と仙台市を結ぶ一部未舗装の県道。未舗装区間は二口林道と名称が変わる。ダートは仙台市側にのみ残されているが、舗装化のための測量が行われているので、近いうちに舗装化されるものと思われる。
峠から山形盆地を一望。
東側は峠からやや下ったところに展望所が設けられていて、つづら折りの二口林道を一望できる。圧巻は盤司岩の景観。林道の北側、頭上に盤司岩がそびえる。
山菜取り、登山者などの車が非常に多く通る。
高沢馬形林道

山形市と仙台市を結ぶ二口林道（二口街道）から南に分岐して、山形市高沢に至る林道。平成１０年に全線開通した新しい林道で、全区間フラット、高沢集落内の入り口は狭い道なので見落としやすい。

頭殿山林道から分岐する登山道。
０４年の豪雨で激しく荒れている。急勾配のガレ場が登山道の直前にある。
実淵林道

白鷹町黒鴨集落へのびる県道の終点から先に延びる行止の林道。
脇を実淵川が流れ、行止箇所には砂防ダムがある。
砂防ダムの先にもダム湖を挟んで道があるのだが10m以上もあるダム湖を渡るすべはない。
西五百川林道(黒鴨林道)

工事により通行不可能。
白鷹町側が黒鴨林道、愛染峠から北側の区間が町道朝日線、もしくは西五百川林道と呼ばれている。
北側の区間は朝日連山の登山口となっているので、朝日鉱泉までは通行止めになることはほとんど無く、また道も良く整備されている。
夏期には非常に多くの人が訪れ、路線バスも通るので、交通量はとても多い。
西五百川林道(黒鴨林道)
頭殿山林道

白鷹町黒鴨集落東側を周回する林道。
途中頭殿山登山道への分岐がある。
全区間荒れた路面が続き、除草もされていないので路面も見づらい箇所が多い。
特に西側、黒鴨集落側の出口はきつい勾配が続き、しかも荒れている。
分岐も多数有り、間違って本線を離れ支線に踏み込むと迷う可能性が高い。
支線は本線と変わらない状態もあれば廃道状態の道もあり、一度踏み込むとクルマがユーターンするのはかなり難しい。
また、頭殿山登山道との分岐以外は標識は出ていない。
